Community Health Awareness Forums

McDowell Hospital hosts Health Awareness Forums at different locations throughout the community.  These forums are designed to promote awareness and preventative measures on different health topics to our friends and family - our community.   If you are interested in obtaining a schedule of forum topics, or locations, please contact the Development Office.

Wall of Remembrance
A Wall of Remembrance is being built on campus to honor and remember family, friends, and patients at McDowell Hospital that have held a special place in someone’s heart. Contact a member of the Development Office for more details.

Cancer Care Committee
The Cancer Care Committee was created to provide resources and funding for our Cancer Care Program.  The Committee is run by our Nurse Navigator as well as several community members who are cancer survivors.  The Committee is responsible for raising awareness of educational outreach programs and providing care for indigent patients.

The Cancer Care Committee hosts the annual Cancer Survivor Day in June.  This Committee is also very active in supporting Relay for Life, and spreading the word about the BCCCP (Breast and Cervical Cancer Care) program.
