The McDowell Hospital Foundation is committed to funding and promoting opportunities that improve lives through quality healthcare.

Many people do not realize that The McDowell Hospital is a not-for-profit acute-care facility, and does not receive local tax support.  The McDowell Hospital provides over $3 million a year in un-reimbursed charity care to patients who cannot afford to pay, and might otherwise remain untreated. 

In addition, despite rising costs, we are committed to providing state-of-the-art technology and services required to meet the healthcare needs of our community.

Your financial support helps the Hospital serve the healthcare needs of our community, with comprehensive, cost-effective quality care, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay.  Your assistance also helps the Hospital prepare for future healthcare needs in this ever-changing industry.  Your gifts today will benefit loved ones, friends, neighbors, and community members in the future.
