Volunteers are Treasured at The McDowell Hospital

Our volunteers are active members of The McDowell Hospital team and valuable contributors to the overall McDowell Hospital experience.  As a volunteer, you offer another friendly face to our patients and their families, often providing comfort and reassurance in difficult times and unfamiliar settings.  Volunteers also work behind the scenes to support departments and staff, enhancing our ability to provide top-quality, compassionate health care.

During the summer months, our VolunTEEN program offers an opportunity for teens who want to help their community and learn more about health care.  Many have gone into the health care field after working as a VolunTEEN.

Every person has his or her own unique reason for volunteering.  Whatever your reasons may be, you can be certain that your work will help to make a difference in the lives of others.
